Gut-Repairing Turmeric Latte

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 1/4 cup cups nondairy milk oat, soy, cashew, or almond are all good choices
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Equipment

  • 1 bowl
  • 1 saucepan

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, add coconut oil, turmeric powder, and pepper and mix into a paste.
  2. Pour the nondairy milk into a small saucepan and turn the heat to medium.
  3. Once the nondairy milk begins to warm, add in the turmeric paste, cinnamon, vanilla, and maple syrup.
  4. Once ingredients are well combined after about 3 minutes, turn off the heat and pour the latte into a mug.
